Archangel Raphael and Tobias
Francesco Botticini

The archangel Raphael's particular duties are to rule the guardian angels in the first heaven and to inspire healers in both the physical and psychic fields.

In The Book of Tobit (which is included in the Catholic Bible) he teaches Tobit's scatterbrained son Tobias the medicinal value of parts of a certain fish they catch, and how some could be used to exorcise demons. This soon came in very handy because Tobias became engaged to marry a young lady whose seven previous fiances had been killed on their wedding night (before they could enjoy her favours) by the jealous demon Asmodeus, who had fallen in love with her.
