GALLERY ONE

When interviewing fantasy artists for Paper Tiger Books I was struck by how often the same influences were named in the shaping of their own art, artists who were also among my own favourites. So it occurred to me that it might be fun to gather some of them together here - just for the pleasure of it really and to give some background to the art you find elsewhere on this website.

Immediately below is a Scottish artist, John Duncan, who I came across relatively recently while working on Faeries of the Celtic Lands. In fact I rather hoped to use it for the cover but it proved too complicated and expensive. You can see more of his work in Gallery Five.
