THIS BOOK IDEA GOT NO FURTHER THAN THE TWO SPREADS you see below. Which was a shame in some ways because I'd found a fresh angle on the subject, beginning with Icelandic fairies, and I loved the illustrations, though sadly can't now remember the name of the artist. If anyone recognises the style, feel free to let me know who it was.
In another way it was probably just as well it didn't come to anything because it would have been up against a whole slew of books coming out at the same time with similar titles and varying degrees of whimsicality; including one illustrated by my long time collaborator Wayne Anderson.
