Orpheus and Eurydice by George Frederic Watts

The story of Orpheus and Eurydice is a bit like that of Lot in the Bible. Orpheus rescues her from the underworld but, despite a warning,
he can't resist looking at her before they reach daylight - so she dies again in his arms.
